The Glue Talk Blog
We are back from a successful show in Munich, the 11th edition of ICE Europe – World’s Leading Exhibition for the conversion of paper, film, foil and nonwovens, and a recognized source for showcasing Converting industry high performance solutions. Did you know we have been participating since 2015? Let us share why that is.
Was this year special?
Customer collaboration is core to how we operate. Therefore, welcoming visitors to our booth in ICE Europe and discussing their technical specifics challenges and business imperatives was a valuable opportunity to strengthen relationships, learn more about our customer needs and, ultimately, help us better position in the market with innovative solutions that make a difference.
With more space and more exhibitors, this year’s show promised to cater to the industry’s demand for individualization, sustainability and new technologies. The vast majority of visitors walking through the busy corridors were high-quality professionals and technical experts who know exactly what they were looking for. A total of 7,150 visitors from 75 countries represented an increase of 4 percent compared to 2017’s event, and we were pleased to be part of this momentum for the Converting industry.
Connecting with the Industry and Building Trusted Partnerships
Reflecting on the increase of visitors, we trust this year’s show was even more international than previous editions. Our booth acted as a meeting point for visitors from all over Europe interested in the adhesive tape segment and looking for opportunities to optimize their bonding performance on a wide variety of substrates and end uses, from polyurethane lamination to surgical draping. Most of the visitors had a real interest in finding a reliable adhesives supplier for their tape and label products, capable of partnering to create customized solutions and address specific application issues.
Our booth was bursting with excitement about our range of adhesives, including new additions from each main adhesive technology within our family of products – hot melt, water-based, and solvent-based pressure sensitive adhesives. Additionally, we also were thrilled to see real interest shown in products, like Gel-Tac® microsphere adhesives.
What’s Next?
Every customer is distinctive. They use different substrates and different machinery, and even the physical conditions of the production line can differ. We believe there is an adhesive technology for every application, and if you haven’t yet found the magic formula for flawless performance, we’re here to help! After a successful exhibition, we’re revitalized and looking forward to working with customers, partners and all the our stakeholders!
