Recognizing an Outstanding Employee Volunteer

H.B. Fuller employees around the world volunteer thousands of hours annually to support their local communities. As a company, we are proud to support the many ways our teams give back and make a difference. To celebrate those employees who show true commitment in serving others, H.B. Fuller has recognized an employee volunteer with the Outstanding Volunteer Award annually since 1978.
 
Joshua Randles, a production operator in Paducah, Kentucky, was selected as the winner of the 2018 Outstanding Volunteer Award. For several years, Joshua has been a regular volunteer with CenterPoint Recovery Center for Men, a residential drug treatment program for men struggling with addiction. As a mentor to clients, Joshua helps them build personal skills and a strong work ethic. Thelma Hunter, site administrator at CenterPoint Recovery Center, said, “Joshua has been instrumental in helping our graduates find employment. Joshua visits frequently to talk with our residents and provide support and encouragement; he always shows them kindness and respect. These are things than many of them have not received a lot of. The excellent working relationship we have with H.B. Fuller is largely due to all the help and support that Josh has given us. I cannot think of anyone more deserving of this award.”
 
Inside H.B. Fuller, Joshua served as the chair of the Paducah Community Affairs Council in 2018. He also played a key role in leading the Paducah Make a Difference employee volunteer project and served as a key contact for the annual workplace giving campaign. Joshua is recognized by his peers as a leader and has often provided support to coworkers experiencing personal struggles. He consistently goes above and beyond to give back to others. 
 
After receiving the Outstanding Volunteer Award, Joshua said, “Having struggled with addiction myself, I know the importance of showing others there is hope in recovery. I have been sober since 2014 with help, love, and guidance from CenterPoint. H.B. Fuller gave me a chance after I moved on from CenterPoint [Recovery Center], and I’m now proud to be recognized by the company for my ongoing volunteer work.” 
 
In honor of Joshua’s commitment to making a difference, H.B. Fuller has donated $1,000 to support CenterPoint Recovery Center. Joshua is one of many employees who have embraced H.B. Fuller’s employee volunteer programs to support their communities and create a positive impact.
