Foamable Adhesives
Designed specifically for woodworking applications, our tailored foamable adhesive products and process innovations help customers lower cost, as well as, increase production efficiencies. Additionally, foaming technology enables the same high performance with less water use—all while minimizing adhesive and material waste.
Our foaming adhesives offer multiple advantages:
- Improved surface quality because water penetration on the surface is slower
- Improved wetting because of a higher glue line
- Enhanced drying efficiency due to increased surface area
- Lower coat weight
- Longer open time
- No intentionally added solvents or formaldehyde
Foamable adhesive H.B. Fuller products
Rakoll® 4330 is a premiere foamable PVAc woodworking adhesive that boasts the characteristic advantages above and is also:
- Suitable for a wide variety of manufactured products, including doors, fine-line veneer, foils, plywood, and parquet flooring
- Foamable up to 35%. Micro-foam reduces the swelling of the fibers and the water penetration in the cells, resulting in higher surface quality
- Foam stable: enabling homogenous and stable micro foam
- Versatile: can be used with cold and warm press machines
- Flexible: being a thermoplastic system, the cured glued joints remain significantly more flexible than duroplastic systems
