
H.B. Fuller Company Announces Twin Cities Grants
This fall, the H.B. Fuller Company Foundation, awarded grants totaling over $110,000 to nonprofits and schools in the Twin Cities community to support STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) education and youth leadership development programs. H.B. Fuller’s grantmaking is led by committees of employees who volunteer to learn more about and visit grantees. We are proud to partner with the following nonprofit programs to support the next generation of scientists, engineers, and leaders.
STEM Education:
- Breakthrough Twin Cities, for intensive summer STEM programming.
- Friends of the Mississippi River, to engage youth in environmental education and stewardship.
- High Tech Kids, for engaging robotics programs and tournaments.
- Minnesota Society of Professional Engineers, for Minnesota MATHCOUNTS, a program that engages middle school students in math competitions.
- National Inventors Hall of Fame, to support summer camps to foster creativity and problem-solving skills through engaging STEM activities.
- Science from Scientists, for STEM enrichment programs, bringing scientists into classrooms to connect with students.
- ServeMinnesota, for the Minnesota Math Corps program, providing math tutoring to elementary and middle school students.
- Somali American Parent Association, to support culturally specific STEM programming for girls.
Youth Leadership:
- Amherst H. Wilder Foundation, for cohort-based multicultural leadership programming.
Additional grants were made to 12 local middle schools to fund innovative STEM programs and spark an interest in STEM among middle-school students.
