As the adult incontinence market continues to grow in developed geographies, market dynamics are changing dramatically. Talking about incontinence as a health issue has become more mainstream, and the use of incontinence products for mobile, active adults has made a huge impact on growth in this segment. With this growth comes a need to think differently about product design: thinner, more absorbent, less odor, better fitting and discreet. These are things that absorbent product producers are starting to think about. The adult incontinence market still remains underdeveloped in many Latin America countries and is ripe for advancement. A few of the region’s large producers have announced their focus on adult products as opposed to baby diapers. What will the next generation of Latin America’s adult incontinence products look like?

Kristy’s presentation will explore more on the Adult Incontinence market in key Latin American countries to understand the potential market size and growth rates — exploring what active, adult users want in incontinence products, where their needs are being met, and what our industry still has to do to meet those needs.

Conforma™ adhesive and ODOGard® are two new solutions available to the Latin American market from H.B. Fuller that help absorbent product producers design the next generation of adult incontinence products for today’s consumer. The second half of the presentation will explain how these two solutions are different from anything else available today and what benefits they can bring to our industry to achieve more discreet, lower odor, and better fitting products.
