
H.B. Fuller Company Announces Twin Cities Grants
This November, the H.B. Fuller Company Foundation announced $75,000 in grants to 10 nonprofits in the Twin Cities. These grants support STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) education and youth leadership development programs for youth in our headquarters community.
Since 1986, H.B. Fuller has been supporting communities around the world where our employees live and work through the H.B. Fuller Company Foundation. In 2017, H.B. Fuller gave $1.3 million to support STEM education and youth leadership development, as well as other causes selected by employees. H.B. Fuller is proud to partner with these organizations to support the next generation of innovators and leaders.
STEM Education:
- Breakthrough Twin Cities, for intensive summer STEM programming.
- High Tech Kids, for engaging robotics programs and tournaments.
- Ka Joog, to support a culturally appropriate 4-H STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics) programs for Somali American youth.
- Leonardo’s Basement, to increase access to workshop-based field trips.
- National Inventors Hall of Fame, to support summer camps to foster creativity and problem-solving skills through engaging STEM activities.
- Science from Scientists, for STEM enrichment programs, bringing scientists into classrooms to connect with students.
- Spark Youth, to integrate computer programming into youth-run aquaponics systems.
- Teach for America, for technology enrichment programming and STEM educator professional development.
- The Bell Museum, for hands-on and inquiry-based STEM summer camps.
Youth Leadership:
- Amherst H. Wilder Foundation, for cohort-based multicultural leadership programming.
- The Cedar Cultural Center, to support a leadership council for Somali youth.
- Jefferson Awards Foundation, for service learning and youth leadership workshops and programs.
