H.B. Fuller: Focused on Community

May 23, 2012

Our 2011 philanthropy report, “Focused on Community”, provides an overview of our community service efforts this past year. Among the highlights, we:
  • Funded hands-on programming that encourages youth to explore science, technology, engineering and math (STEM)
  • Provided 18,000 books to Chinese migrant schools
  • Worked with Give2Asia to provide disaster relief in Thailand and Japan
  • And rallied hundreds of employees to give 6,500 volunteer hours to local projects during our Make a Difference campaign
One way we fulfill our philanthropic vision is through our H.B. Fuller Foundation, which has been providing grants within our communities since 1986. In the United States, we focus our giving on STEM education and youth leadership. In other regions, our grants support children’s health, welfare and education.

We believe the time we donate is as important as the grants that we give. H.B. Fuller has active Community Affairs Councils (CACs) around the globe that manage local corporate contributions and volunteer opportunities. Our CACs give employees the chance to interact with the community and collectively engage in positive change. We also encourage employees to support and volunteer for organizations that are important to them.

At H.B. Fuller, we are as committed to being a good neighbor as we are to being a best-in-class business partner.  We apply our beliefs—the Spirit of Winning, the Power of Collaboration and the Essence of Courage—to everything we do, and hope to make the lives of many a little bit better.
