As the world celebrates Earth Day tomorrow, it is a good time to reinforce to our customers that H.B. With sustainable business practices and products increasingly on everyone’s mind, this is an ideal opportunity to share how our unique adhesives, sealants, coatings and specialty polymers are enabling our customers’ sustainability initiatives around the world.

In the packaging industry, our advanced adhesives and unmatched technical support help our customers expand their current sustainability practices or implement new initiatives. For example, our revolutionary new Advantra Encore™ packaging adhesive platform for case and carton sealing provides increased mileage, resulting in reduced adhesive consumption. It also performs across broad service temperature ranges with one adhesive product, driving efficiency in manufacturing. Our announcement this week of the acquisition of the Liquamelt® Adhesive Packaging System adds the packaging industry’s first cool, green, on-demand, liquid rapid set adhesive and proprietary equipment solution to the H.B. Fuller portfolio. In  the growing flexible packaging market, H.B. Fuller recently expanded our proven Flextra™ family of laminating adhesives by introducing Flextra Quiet™ 1000— a groundbreaking adhesive that resolves the challenge of noisy PLA-based sustainable flexible packaging.

In the solar market, H.B. Fuller’s reactive hot melt adhesives streamline panel manufacturing processes to help our customers save energy and materials. Also helping to save energy, our window adhesives and sealants prevent energy loss in demanding building applications. We created H.B. Fuller’s new Global Center of Excellence in Applications Development for the window and solar industries so that we can deliver innovative solutions to customers at a fast pace.
