We are proudly restoring an area of our Willow Lake site to native prairie. The site prep began last fall by spraying invasive plants and then burning the area, while preserving patches of native prairie cord grass. Today a pair of nesting tree swallows watched as the restoration area was harrowed (raked) to encourage the germination of "weedy" plants, which will then be sprayed in preparation for seeding with native prairie flowers and grasses later this summer.
