Multi-wall bags are flexible containers made from two or more layers of paper, as well as additional layers of other materials that may include plastic films or foils, that provide an extensive variety of specific barrier properties. This packaging is used for products such as pet food, fertilizer, and a range of other chemical and food products.

H.B. Fuller also supplies adhesive products for a variety of applications in the manufacture of a full range of specialty bags. These niche applications typically involve difficult-to-bond materials, or heavily inked or coated substrates. Depending on the end use, adhesives may need to have very specific and unique performance characteristics.

Continuous advances in bag design and materials are enabling higher performance and lower basis weights. H.B. Fuller works closely with converters to formulate and support adhesives that enhance the quality of the bag in order to prevent leakage, staining or shifting of plies, and work on the full range of high-speed bag making equipment.
